Hatha Yoga with Carol Trenga
Reconnect with your inner wisdom through yoga. In these
classes, explore how awareness of breath and movement creates ease in the body
and can add lightness to yoga practice. Somatic movement patterns allow deep
release of tension in the body. Classes are enriched by topics from traditional
texts of yoga philosophy. You are welcome to join classes any time during the
term.
Gentle Yoga
Fridays 10:00 - 11:30am

movement and clarity after injury or illness, those with restricted physical
movement, or those who enjoy a slower-paced yoga practice. All levels of yoga
experience are welcome.

Carol Trenga
Carol enjoys the benefits of 20 years of yoga practice. This ancient holistic
path constantly refreshes her ability to be present and joyful in the modern
world. Carol’s teaching is infused with a profound belief in the wisdom of the
body. She draws on many influences, including Buddhist philosophy, Zen
meditation, and her studies in anatomy and physiology. Carol is blessed with
several visionary teachers including Jean Hindle at Soma Yoga, Kathryn Payne and
Theresa Elliott at Pacific Yoga, and a mentorship with Russell Delman’s Embodied
Life program. Among Carol’s most important teachers are husband Michael and
daughters Ava and Nellie, who provide many opportunities to practice living
consciously, in love, and in relationship. She also learns daily from three
feline companions about presence, surrender, and moving with awareness.
