Mat Pilates class (beginner/multi-level)

Wednesday 7:30 - 8:30pm

Interested in becoming more flexible, stronger and improve your health and well being? This class is perfect for you. You will learn about your core and how important it is, as well as breathing exercises, ways to fix old postural habits and work on concentration,body awareness and balance. Pretty soon you will feel more limber and more energized. Excellent exercise for those with back and neck pain.

No previous Pilates experience is required. Bring comfortable clothing.  Please bring your mat.

Diana discovered Pilates as a way to keep herself strong and injury-free so that she could continue her work as a dancer and choreographer. She completed her mat Pilates teacher training in Chicago and received her full certification at Vitality Pilates in Seattle. Diana’s 20 years of professional dance training (ballet, modern, contemporary, improvisation and butoh dance) gives her an expert eye for movement. She is also a Vineyasa yoga instructor and this background also allows her to integrate effective Yoga stretches into her client’s workouts. She is a patient and thoughtful instructor and enjoys working with beginners, prenatal and post-partum moms, people who work for long hours at their desks, as well as more advanced clients such as dancers and athletes. She holds a Master in Fine Arts in Dance Education and Choreography from the University of Washington, a BFA in Graphic Design and a professional ballet degree from the Royal Academy of Dancing. She is the Co-Founder of DAIPAN Butoh Collective, and enjoys collaborating with artist of many disciplines to create solo dances. When not teaching or performing, she enjoys spending time with her husband Howard.
