Hatha Vinyasa with Katie Kelley

Katie's first introduction to Yoga was in college in 1984. She is
profoundly influenced by the transformative nature of the practice of yoga
and carries a deep respect for these ancient teachings. She has been
teaching yoga in Seattle since 1994. She has a long time practice in
Vipassana meditation and draws from in depth knowledge of the body/mind from
over twelve years of experience as a massage therapist and energy medicine
practitioner. Katie believes that through the physical body we gain a
greater understanding of our deeper layers of self.
Through breath and awareness, we can unlock blockages and allow our truest
self to shine through. She is commited to sharing the healings
properties of yoga through asana (physical postures), pranayama (breathwork),
dharana (concentration) and dhyana (meditation). She invites each one
of you to allow yourself to flower in this practice to the divinity within.
Katie is rejuvenated by the beauty of the Northwest. Hiking,
backpacking, kayaking, skiing and climbing are some of the activities that
connect her to the spirit of nature and the beauty of the planet.
