Time to Unwind & Reinvigorate
Your monthly reset: Gentle Soma Yoga, somatic movement education and mindfulness meditation practices liberate us from layers of involuntary, habitual holding patterns. Reawaken your inherent agility and strength, expanding possibilities for moving effortlessly and optimally in all that you do. Discover the amazing capacity of your nervous system for somatic releasing, resourcing and re-education. Chronic tension patterns change as the body regains its innate ability to self-correct to ease and efficiency (neuromuscular re-patterning). Soma Yoga, somatic movement education & mindfulness meditation invite quiet mind, a deep unwinding and endless discovery. Awareness of habitual thinking, moving and attention patterns is possible; and with awareness sits liberation. Somatic Sundays always include lying down Somatic Body Scan Meditations for integration time. These Soma Yoga & somatic practices also draw from the eight neurodevelopmental movement patterns of BrainDance Somatic Education, which brings in cognitive as well as optimal movement support for your daily life.
Soma Yoga (which I began developing in 1993 and founded in 1998), invites in the modern wisdom of Hanna Somatics, BioSomatics, Somatic Unwinding, the teachings of Moshe Feldenkrais, Skinner Releasing Technique, Alexander Technique, 8 Neurodevelopmental BrainDance Somatic Patterns, Embodied Anatomy and lying down Somatic Body Scan Meditations. My meditation teaching draws strongly from my studies, trainings and practice in meditation practices within the Zen and Tibetan Buddhist traditions since 1991.
